PTP: Towel Tone Series 1, Abs

Hey guys, this Personal Trainer Post is the first in a series of towel tone posts. Each post will focus on a different body part, then there will be a post at the end with some workout combinations. The towel tone series is meant to help out those who can't get to the gym or don't have access to gym equipment. I use this one when I'm on vacation in a place where I can't get a gym pass; all you need are two folded up towels! This first post is dedicated to Abs.

1. Knee to Chest
Begin with heels on two folded towels. Place hands next to hips and raise your butt off the floor.

Pull right knee into chest slowly, then stretch leg back out and replace the heel slowly. Repeat on left side. That is one rep.

2. Twisting Toe Tap
Begin in the same position as Knee to Chest.

Twist from the hips to the right. Circle your left leg over the top of your right leg and tap your left toe on the ground. Repeat on the other side. That is one rep.

3. Towel Crunch
Roll one towel up and place it behind you against your lower back.

Extend back over the towel and then crunch back up to start.

4. Plank Knee Crunch
Begin in plank position with hands on towels.

Pull your left knee toward your right elbow, then replace it back on the ground. Repeat on other side. That is one rep.

5. Balancing Boat
Begin with your butt on a folded up towel. Raise legs and upper body up off the ground so you are balancing as pictured below.

Bring knees and upper body together over hips. Stretch back out to starting position for one rep.

6. Leg lift
Lay down on ground, place towel under your butt and raise feet straight up in the air to start.

Lower legs down until they are parallel with floor, then raise back to start.

What a fabulous post! Great exercises. I use to travel full time for work and this would've been VERY helpful for my hotel room nights!

Hi Stacy!
As someone who's sold up nearly everything she owns to go on a trip and move country this is so, so useful! Thank you so much for sharing.

Glad you guys liked it! This is totally my go-to type of workout when traveling to places with no gym access. I'd die without it!
